Drivers must be a minimum of:
• 21 years of age for car categories Small Economy and Small Economy Diesel
• 23 years of age for all other categories
• The maximum rental age is 79 years.
Drivers must have held a valid license for at least one (1) year.

On the main page, enter the dates and times you wish to rent the car, the pick-up
and drop-off location and the driver’s age and click on the “search” button. Get a
quote for the car you are interested in.

Fill the personal details form, providing your name, country, mobile phone number
and E-mail address. If you are picking up at the airport or the port, please do not
forget to provide your flight number or the name of your boat and the exact arrival
time. Once your booking is complete, you will receive by mail a printable voucher.

We will wait for you at our private Heraklion Airport parking lot which is located 20
meters away from the arrival building .
Exit the arrivals hall and start walking to your right.
Exit through the small door and walk across the street.
Reach the bus stop and turn right.
Walk along the side walk for approximately 30m
Enter the parking through the ramp on your left
Now you are in the parking lot , walk for 5 meters and turn right.
Cross the corridor to the parking lot for 5 meters and you will see the KOSMOS CAR
RENTAL sign on your left.

For bookings at the port of Heraklion, Chania or Rethimno city a company's
employee will be waiting for you in front of the arrivals pier of the boat holding a
small sign / table with your full name and our company name (KOSMOS RENT A CAR)
printed on it, so that we meet each other.

the arrivals hall holding a small sign / table with your full name and our company
name (KOSMOS RENT A CAR) printed on it, so that we meet each other.

All rentals include insurance CDW (Collision Damage Waiver) with an excess amount
depending on the car category. Credit card in the name of the driver is required as
guarantee (No excess charge). CDW insurance do not cover damage to mirrors, tires
and underneath the car.

The operating hours are 8 a.m. to 21 p.m. After-hours delivery / pick up (21:00 -
08:00) are subject to a €20 charge payable on arrival in cash.
The early/late service fee applies only for car pick-up and not for car return outside
the office hours.

You will certainly not lose your reservation and it is preferable to inform us about the
delay. In addition, there is no fine, but if service is offered out of the operating
hours, due to the delay, are subject to a €20 charge payable on arrival in cash.

All drivers must present a valid driver’s license
National Driving Licenses issued in EU, US, UK, Switzerland, Australia, Canada,
Israel, Russia and Ukraine are accepted.
In all the other countries an International Driving License is required .
Drivers should also have a credit card in their name (No excess charge).

As it is prohibited by the Greek traffic law to drive without a driver’s license you can’t
rent the car. However, if there is a second driver in your group having a driver’s
license you can still proceed with the rental.
Copies are not sufficient.

Each rental has unlimited mileage in Crete.

The car is not allowed to be transported to and from any other island or mainland.
The insurances cease to be valid and the renter will be responsible for any damage
caused if the vehicle is driven elsewhere outside Crete.

Bookings are subject to a specific car group, which includes different car models
with similar features.
Υou must be prepared to collect any of the vehicles within a category.
In case you have a confirmed reservation for a specific car group and there is not
any available car from this category, we reserve the right to deliver a vehicle of
bigger category without extra charge (free upgrade).

The rental can be paid in cash or by credit card (Visa or Mastercard). A debit card as
well as a prepaid card can be used to make the payment (the credit card holder
must be present).

The first thing you have to do is to inform our office by phone call about the incident
and the location you are in order to receive prompt assistance and car replacement
if required. In case of an accident the nearest police station will be informed to reach
the accident’s location and an accident report form containing a full description of
the circumstances under which the accident happened has to be made out from the
renter. Without this accident report the renter could be held fully liable for the cost
of repairing the damage done to the rental car.
Our company has the right to investigate the causes of the accident - breakdown
and deny the replacement of the car if the use of the car violates our terms and
conditions
